This Privacy Policy describes how Flitbeat (the “App”) handles information. Flitbeat is designed to operate primarily on-device without collecting, transmitting, or storing personal information about users. This policy explains what, if anything, the App or any integrated services collect, how information is used, and users’ rights.
Overview ✅
- Flitbeat does not intentionally collect personal information or usage telemetry from users. It is built to run locally on your device wherever possible.
- Key features: a menu-bar app, Home Screen/Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, and in‑app purchases (tips/subscriptions). Widgets and Live Activities use shared local storage to display state and do not transmit data to third-party servers.
- Network activity only occurs when interacting with app store purchases or services used to manage purchases (see "In-App Purchases and Third-Party Services" below).
UI & Feature Summary 🧭
- Purchase Settings: The purchase UI (found in the app’s settings and menu) allows users to make in-app purchases (tips or entitlements). Purchases are processed by Apple and managed by RevenueCat; the app itself does not collect sensitive payment details.
- Widgets & Live Activities: The app provides Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets as well as Live Activity support on compatible systems. These UI components use shared local storage (App Group) to show progress and schedule information.
- Local-only behavior: Aside from the purchases above, UI elements (menu-bar, widgets, live activity, settings) read and write local preferences and snapshots and do not upload those preferences externally.
Information Flitbeat Collects (or doesn’t) ⚠️
- Personal Data: Flitbeat’s code and UI do not collect or store names, email addresses, sensitive financial information (payment card numbers), or other identifying information.
- Usage/Analytics: Flitbeat does not include analytics or monitoring systems that collect usage patterns, events, or telemetry on the app developer’s servers.
- Crash Logs & Diagnostics: The App does not transmit crash reports or device diagnostics to the developer. If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple through system settings, that is a choice you make with Apple and not a Flitbeat-specific upload.
If any part of the App were to collect personal data in the future (e.g., feature updates, third-party SDKs, or voluntary data submission), this policy will be updated and users will be notified.
In-App Purchases and Third-Party Services 💳
- Purchases: Flitbeat provides in-app purchasing (tips and in‑app entitlement management) using Apple’s App Store flow. These purchases are processed by Apple.
- RevenueCat: Flitbeat integrates the RevenueCat SDK to manage purchases, entitlements, and offering metadata. RevenueCat may process and store purchase-related metadata. For details about RevenueCat’s data collection and processing, you can consult RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Developer Access: The developer does not receive users’ raw payment credentials (card numbers). The developer may receive receipts or customer info returned by the platform/RevenueCat sufficient to validate and manage entitlements, but not raw payment method data.
